Scott Eastwood has been added to the cast of Paramount Pictures’ feature adaptation of the Colleen Hoover novel Regretting You.

Hitting theaters Oct. 24, Regretting You stars Eastwood alongside previously announced castmembers Allison Williams, Dave Franco, Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames and Willa Fitzgerald. Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) helms the film from a script he wrote that is based on a previous draft by Susan McMartin (After).

Regretting You centers on the aftermath of a tragic car accident that claims the lives of two family members and leads to an exploration of past secrets and regrets.

The project is based on Hoover’s best-selling 2019 novel and hails from Constantin Film, with the producers including Robert Kulzer, Brunson Green, Anna Todd and Flavia Viotti. Serving as executive producers are Hoover, Williams, Franco and Grace.

Eastwood’s previous features include I Want You Back, 1992, Fast X, Wrath of Man and Pacific Rim: Uprising.

The pic is based on Collen Hoover’s 2019 bestselling novel; the author is an executive producer on the film with Williams, Franco and Grace. The movie hits cinemas October 24.

Regretting You is set against a shocking car wreck that takes the lives of two family members. The event unlocks a series of secrets, lies and regrets, as the people left behind can’t move forward without looking at the past. Regretting You explores what’s left behind after a tragedy, the messiness and grief, but also the beauty of life and love.

Exclusive: Swedish director Amir Chamdin, whose drama Partisan won Best Series at the 2020 Canneseries market, has signed on to direct Corleone, an action-thriller set in the United States and Sicily.

Written by Sandro Lorino, Rich Ronat and Nate Adams, the film is based on a story by Sandro Lorino and and Antonio Lorino, and tells the story of a family man with a mysterious past, whose peaceful life is upended when he becomes entangled in a deathly cat-and-mouse game with the first female boss of the Cosa Nostra.

Production is being lined up for March, with casting currently underway. The film is being produced by Richard Salvatore (Stolen Girl), Nate Adams (Vanquish), and Sandro Lorino and Norbert Krott for Lorino Pictures. Executive producers include Fabio Costabile (Skincare) and Dirk Schweitzer (Operation Napoleon).

Chamdin most recently directed ballet Gustavia, which premiered at the Royal Opera House in Stockholm this past October.

Voltage Pictures is kicking off sales in Cannes this week on the child kidnapping thriller Stolen Girl starring Kate Beckinsale and Scott Eastwood.

Italy’s Ilbe is lead-producing and Voltage is executive producer on the €25m ($26m) feature, which started principal photography on Monday (May 13) in Puglia in Italy.

Stolen Girl follows Maureen Danning (Beckinsale), who partners with Robeson (Eastwood), a former Marine and child abduction specialist, after her ex-husband abducts their young daughter and flees to the Middle East.
