In addition to the Rooster Fighter reveal, Viz Media's San Diego Comic-Con panel brought with it a new project that has the publisher teaming up with Shogakukan, Tsuburaya Productions and Marvel Comics. The new collab is Ultraman: Along Came a Spider , which sees Ultraman and Spider-Man teaming up for the first time. Shinji Oishi has the original story credit, Shigenobu Matsumoto is writing and Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris manga illustrator Tomo Hirokawa is handling the art. Ultraman: Along Came a Spider will kick off its serialization on August 14—both in comic shops and simultaneous with Japan via Viz Media's digital service Viz Manga—which is the same day the previously-announced Ultraman x Avengers series drops.
