Broken won the 'Best SciFright Feature' Award at the 42nd Boston Scifi Film Festival 2017.
The film was shot in just 17 days.
'Broken' is loosely based on director Shaun Robert Smith experiences as a carer.
This is the first collaboration between Producer Craig Conway and Writer/Director Shaun Robert Smith a.k.a. Smith & Conway.
The entire film was shot in a house in Streatham, South London (UK) The house was the childhood home of lead Actor Mel Raido.

Cameo

Hyde & Beast: Band members Dave Hyde & Steve Angus both have cameos during the final party scene.

Director Cameo

Shaun Robert Smith: During the scene where John summons Evie to his room to change the channel on the television, Shaun can be seen in 'That 70's Cop' on the television before Evie changes the channel to the sound of George Romero's La Nuit des morts-vivants (1968) most famous line "They're coming to get you Barbara"
Shaun Robert Smith: When Evie is laying on her bed and Dougie is taunting her through the intercom, she is watching The Twitching Dead (2000), an early film directed by and starring Shaun.
