“Yes, not even a single glance”: Kishimoto’s Biggest Flex Is Creating the Best Rated Naruto Movie Without a Storyboard
Image
Nobody knows a manga better than the creator, and that’s how you might feel once you discover the extent of Masashi Kishimoto’s involvement in the best rated Naruto movie. Boruto anime began its run in 2017, but fans caught the first glimpse of the new generation in Boruto: Naruto the Movie.

Out of all the movies, this one has garnered the highest rating, perhaps because of its canon status. Whatever the reason might be, Kishimoto limited his role in the making, which is something he shared during an interview. There was a specific reason for that, and it could very easily be called the mangaka’s intuition. So, what was it?

Naruto's Creator Had One Condition To Make The Sequel Series Boruto
Image
Fans of "Naruto" might've heard of illustrator Mikio Ikemoto due to his close association with the genre-defining shōnen manga, but Ikemoto has been a significant creative force for a long time. When "Naruto" creator Masashi Kishimoto was just starting out as a rookie manga-ka, Ikemoto had already amassed a cult-following for his one-shot manga debut, "Cosmos." Once Kishimoto began the serialization of "Naruto" for Shueisha, he deliberately sought out Ikemoto and recruited him in a chief assistant role that would span between 1999 and 2014. Ikemoto's contributions helped "Naruto" evolve into a polished serialized manga, as his responsibilities included drawing crowds/backgrounds, creating new character designs from scratch, and adding in half-tones. While Kishimoto undoubtedly honed "Naruto" into the beloved tale it is today, Ikemoto silently aided the creative process in ways that should not be overlooked.

Part II of the "Naruto" manga series was always meant to end on a note of hope.

Ways Boruto Filler Episodes Make The Anime Better
Image
Boruto is one of the few anime that is arguably better because of filler than without it. Yes, filler, no matter the type, will always slow down the pace of the narrative and can even hurt the story if it's too prevalent, such was the case for the majority of Naruto: Shippuden, especially during the war arc. That being said, while Boruto's predecessor severely suffered as a result of countless filler episodes that did more harm than good, Boruto as a story is defined by its unique situation as a continuation of Naruto with a focus on exploring the next generation and that by itself gives the narrative enough room to not be rigidly defined by its core story.

In most anime, filler is a contentious word that usually equates to episodes where nothing of true importance to the overall plot or character occurs. A mini-story outside the traditional...

Shueisha Warns Against Social Media Accounts Impersonating Naruto Mangaka Masashi Kishimoto
Image
The official Twitter account of Naruto issued a warning on April 8, 2024, to alert fans regarding accounts on social media impersonating the series’ creator, Masashi Kishimoto.

The tweet read, “[Please be careful] Manga artist Masashi Kishimoto does not have any accounts on any social media platforms. Please be aware that accounts claiming to be Masashi Kishimoto-sensei are not genuine. – Shueisha“.

The warning comes amidst fan confusion surrounding a parody account potentially mistaken for the real Kishimoto. Many fans expressed amusement at the situation as the account in question clearly mentioned in the bio that it is a parody account. While others were surprised that fans were still falling for the account to the point that the official channels felt the need to address it.

However, many fans believed the account was operated by Masashi Kishimoto and thanked Shueisha for issuing the alert.

Naruto's Only Two Canon Movies Create a Big Problem For Fans of the Series
Image
The two canon movies in the Naruto franchise, The Last: Naruto the Movie and Boruto: Naruto the Movie, are currently unavailable on streaming platforms. The Last movie showcases strong character writing for Naruto and Hintao, and arguably the franchise's most epic fight against Otsutsuki Toneri. Boruto: Naruto the Movie effectively introduces the next generation of ninjas and provides emotional moments while passing the torch to Boruto.

People interested in experiencing all of the best Naruto content currently cannot stream the two canon movies that are arguably the best films in the popular franchise. Although the final chapter of Masashi Kishimoto's beloved Naruto manga was released in 2014, the story has continued exploring life in Konoha after Naruto and Sasuke's climactic duel at the end. The two films released after the series ended feature some of the franchise's best action and character development but are currently difficult to find on streaming platforms.

Super Dark Naruto Theory Will Change How You See Boruto
Image
Naruto and Boruto are very different shows, but one dark Shippuden theory explains why. As was expected, Naruto’s ending was followed by the beginning of a brand-new series, Boruto. Though a few of the sequel series' characters were introduced in the very last chapter of Naruto, those characters didn't get room to breathe until Boruto: Naruto the Movie, one of the two canon Naruto films. Boruto takes place 15 years after the end of Naruto Shippuden’s Fourth Great Ninja War, in a peaceful world where neither the Akatsuki nor the tailed beasts are a problem. However, one dark theory suggests all of Boruto might be a lie.

After several encounters with the Akatsuki members, Naruto Shippuden culminated in one final arc, the Fourth Great Ninja War. That was when all of the five nations, plus the Samurai, joined efforts to create the first-ever Shinobi Alliance. Their mission was to protect Naruto and Killer Bee,...

Boruto Manga Returns With Two Blue Vortex
Image
The sequel to the Boruto manga returns on August 21 and features a new look at Sarada after the timeskip.

Via Twitter, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex replaces Naruto Next Generations as the official name of the series going forward. The announcement confirms that Masashi Kishimoto will continue on as the writer, with Mikio Ikemoto's art providing the first look at Sarada post-timeskip. Boruto Announces Its Own "Shippuden" Style Part 2
Image
The Boruto anime is about to conclude its "Part 1", which lasted more than six years, and a second season has already been announced. Considering that, based on the manga, Boruto's story is getting close to the timeskip foreshadowed since the first episode, Season 2 will be Boruto's version of Naruto Shippuden.

The official accounts and websites of the series have announced that Boruto: Naruto Next Generations will end on March 26, 2023, with episode #293. A second season of the anime is already in production and set to debut at a still-unrevealed date. This may come as a surprise for fans, considering that the Boruto anime had only recently caught up with the manga after a long sequence of filler episodes. With just three episodes remaining, it's likely that Part 1 of Boruto will conclude after the fight between the villain Code and the two sworn brothers Boruto and Kawaki.

Boruto Wasn't The Only Idea For A Naruto Spin-Off
Naruto (2002)
It's been an odd road for "Naruto" creator Masashi Kishimoto since the end of his popular manga. Kishimoto gave his blessing to the creation of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations," a manga from "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" writer Ukyo Kodachi and artist Mikio Ikemoto. The manga also led the popular anime adaptation.

Kishimoto then created the manga series "Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru," a science fiction with art from Akira Okubo. Unfortunately, that series only last for 43 chapters before being quietly shuttered. With his newer manga scuttled, Kishimoto eventually moved back toward the "Naruto" franchise, taking over the writing duties for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations"...
