The Spider-Verse franchise has just confirmed a spin-off animated movie, which has been put into early stages of development. According to Deadline, Sony Pictures Animation is busy making a spin-off about the character of Spider-Punk, which was introduced in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and will be present in the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Marvel star Daniel Kaluuya, who voiced the iconic role in 2023, has also been confirmed to return as one of the co-writers of the spin-off and, naturally, reprising the role of Spider-Punk in the movie. Spider-Punk, often described as the ‘wokest” Spider-Verse character because of his anti-authoritarian character, will surely wreak havoc in this spin-off. Plot details have been kept under wraps, and so far, no other deals have been signed.
Kaluuya will be joined by co-writer Ajon Singh (known for his work on Primetime). However, the Spider-Punk spinoff is not the only thing confirmed,...

It was probably only a matter of time before we got word on a spin-off after the massive success of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and sequel Across the Spider-Verse, and Deadline is now reporting that a new animated feature focusing on Spider-Punk is in early development at Sony Pictures.
Introduced in Across the Spider-Verse as a close friend (possibe ex) of Spider-Gwen that Miles Morales was just a tad jealous of, Hobie Brown hails from Earth-138, and takes a more anarchistic and anti-establishment approach to superheroics than other Spidey variants.
Daniel Kaluuya, who voiced the character and is set to return for the final instalment in the trilogy, Beyond the Spider-Verse, is on board as a co-writer alongside Ajon Singh (Primetime). The Black Panther actor will almost certainly reprise the role for this spin-off, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.
We have previously heard that an animated Venom movie is also in the works,...

Madame Web has been criticized for its script, action, and characters. Reviews regarding the movie have described it as possessing no clear vision, and suffering from a too-long runtime. While reviews also mention there are some bright spots like incredible costumes and the funny performance of Adam Scott, Madame Web is largely perceived as a dull and repetitive film with wooden performances.
The first round of social media reactions for Dakota Johnson's Madame Web movie are now out, as critics give their first thoughts on the new Marvel film. Another side of Sony's Spider-Man Universe is about to be explored through Madame Web, focusing on Marvel's Cassandra Webb, played by Johnson. Madame Web centers on Cassandra's origin story, as well as the rise of three future spider-heroines, as they all become targets of a futuristic enemy.
