- Nick Linden: The next time I go to an island, it'll be deserted.
- Sonia Mayerick: And the next time I partner up with a man, it won't be in a cave.

- Sonia Mayerick: [talking on her radio show] You know, I've given so much relationship advice, to all of you. And the truth is, the truth is, I have no idea what I am talking about. I've had relationships, but they're always the kind where everyone walks away unscathed. Hearts don't get broken. And then I did something really stupid. I fell in love. But I fell in love with a guy who has zero interest. In fact, he thinks of me as an annoying coworker. So now I know what it feels like to have your heart broken. And it hurts. But I feel something, so I guess that's good. For anyone listening out there, my advice is for you to tear down the fences and get off that stupid island. I was wrong about everything, and the truth is, you can't be in love without getting lost in it.
- Nick Linden: [calling in to the radio show from a cab on his way to see her at the radio station] Hey, it's Nick. Don't hang up. Look, I don't know what happened between us, but whatever I did, I am sorry.
- Sonia Mayerick: Look, it's okay. Can we just not talk about it, you know, maybe some other time, out there.
- Nick Linden: No, no, and I don't have zero interest. I have 100 percent interest. And you are not an annoying coworker.
- Sonia Mayerick: Nick, I heard you on the phone.
- Nick Linden: How did you? You know what, never mind. I was talking about Amanda. I'm sorry, Amanda, if you're listening. And even if you are annoying, I wouldn't change it for anything. I was an idiot for helping you get back together with Scott. I was starting to have feelings for you, and I got scared. And you do know who I am. I'm the guy who sat behind you in the movie theaters just so that I could be close to you.
- Sonia Mayerick: So you could sit behind my big head?
- Nick Linden: [walking in to the radio studio] It's not that big. I miss arguing with you.
- Sonia Mayerick: I miss it, too.
- Nick Linden: Then, I think there's only one thing left to do.
- [he takes her hand, she stands and they kiss]
