Severanceis already a huge hit for Apple TV+. The sci-fi thriller series starring Adam Scott just wrapped its second season, and Apple has been on a marketing tear since then. The latest effort by the tech company to promote Severance, is a new listing on its Apple Store website for a Lumon Terminal Pro computer, just like the severed workers in Lumon’s macrodata refinement department used.

However, apparently, the “numbers were (too) scary” to put a price on the piece of Lumon tech, because although the Lumon Terminal Pro is listed on its store site, it’s not actually available for purchase by fans.

Cannes — For years, reports of MipTV’s terminal decline were somewhat exaggerated. Now, however, they’re real. On March 26, Rx France, organizers of MipTV, announced the launch of Mip London, over Feb. 23-28, 2025. MipTV’s 2024 edition will be its last.

“The Killing” star Sofie Gråbøl will serve as the president of this year’s Canneseries competition jury, it was announced on Tuesday.

The Danish actor kickstarted her career with the 1986 film “Barndommens gade” (“The Streets of My Childhood”) and is known for her TV roles including “The Killing,” “Nikolaj og Julie” and “Taxa.”

Joining Gråbøl on the jury are “Madame Hollywood” director, screenwriter and producer Olivier Abbou; “Four Daughters” composer Amine Bouhafa; “City of God” actor Alice Braga; “Blancanieves” actor Macarena García; and “Samber” actor Alix Poisson.

Together, the jury will judge the eight series in competition and unveil the winners on April 10. Canneseries has lined up world premieres of international titles including Apple TV+’s Franklin, Disney+’s Becoming Karl Lagerfeld and Netflix’s French comedy Fiasco for its seventh edition which runs in Cannes from April 5-10 in parallel with MipTV.

Franklin, produced by ITV Studios America with Apple Studios, stars Michael Douglas as the titular US founding father in a story about his time on a mission to France in 1776. Douglas, also an executive producer on the eight-episode limited series, is expected to attend the event.

Prime Video announced on Thursday that it has ordered The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, a prequel series focused on Ben Edwards and James Reece, the characters respectively played by Taylor Kitsch and Chris Pratt on the main Navy Seal drama. Kitsch and Pratt have also been confirmed to star in the offshoot, though it’s not yet clear how much earlier the Dark Wolf prequel will be set.

Darkest Hour have announced their 10th studio album, Perpetual | Terminal, arriving February 23rd via Mnrk Heavy. The video for the title track can be streamed now.

The song serves as the album opener and melds melodic guitar leads with crushing technical metalcore. According to the band, it’s the sound of “a whole Darkest Hour album in one song.”

Microsoft has confirmed that using System Restore on Windows 11 could break some critical apps, including Microsoft Office. System Restore is an important recovery tool that allows Windows users to revert their computer to an earlier state if a critical error renders the system unusable. Once the feature is enabled, the system automatically creates restore points when it detects major changes like driver installations, Windows updates, app installations, or significant modifications to the core system settings. Users can also manually create system restore points in Windows.

A bug in the latest version of Windows 11 is causing many apps to break after using System Restore. Mike Hodges, who made his feature debut by writing and directing the seminal British gangster film Get Carter, starring Michael Caine, then replaced Nicolas Roeg to helm the cult sci-fi hit Flash Gordon, has died. He was 90.

Hodges died Saturday of heart failure at his home in Dorset, England, confirmed his friend Mike Kaplan, who produced Hodges’ 2003 film I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead.

The British filmmaker also wrote and directed Pulp (1972) in a quick follow-up with Caine; the bleak The Terminal Man (1974), an adaptation of a Michael Crichton novel that starred George Segal; Damien: Omen II (1978), though he was fired three weeks into the shoot and replaced by Don Taylor; and Black Rainbow (1989), starring Rosanna Arquette as a medium.
