The Playground interweaves numerous stories into one very well paced tale. This well shot and directed movie reveals exciting and engaging themes throughout. The Playground is exciting and leaves you thrilled in the end.

With all the movies out there that lack substance, I really enjoyed this movie for its unique take and spin on classic themes and storylines that will resonate with any viewer. The movie does a great job of weaving the different characters' storylines into one thrilling narrative that is full of subversive lessons, take aways and "samplings" from classic storylines.
I have watched many of terrible B movies. Low budget bad acting but a ton of laughs. That is not this movie it is 2 and a half hours of long drawn out torture. If they filmed someone trying to get through this film that would be more entertaining. I have been in 2 accident 8 kidney stones and 3 back surgeries. This film tops all of those for causing me emotional distress. The film "Takes" old stories about the deal with the devil and tries to spin them to modern times. I have watched films do this fantastically on a shoe string budget. This film fails at everything it tries to do while making satan our antagonist look like a misunderstood teenager. I was stuck in my chair like any normal day for me so i thought id give it a shot. Worst decision I've made in a long time save yourself don't watch this film.
Creep tone, aided by solid camera work and good score. Strong themes about free will.
clocks in at nearly 2 and a half hours, coulda been a little tighter.
This movie is a series of morality plays that eventually come together as one story. As in all morality plays, the choices made, have consequences. It's a lengthy film and I feel as if the quality of the acting and writing was sacrificed. The acting and dialogue was wooden and and forced as if reading directly from cue cards. I didn't feel anything from or for the characters, just empty. There was so much potential here. I feel a better budgeting would have made this film as good as it should have been.
