Greg Wise, Alice Sykes join 'After Louise'
Exclusive: Pair will star in road comedy from UK production outfit Scoop Films.

Greg Wise (Sense And Sensibility) and Alice Sykes (Cradle To Grave) will lead After Louise, a road comedy from UK production company Scoop Films.

The film follows Kath (Sykes), a shy young woman who runs out on her wedding to go in search of her mother whom she has been separated from since childhood. In the process, she accidentally kidnaps Bob (Wise), a reclusive gardener with a sinister secret.

David Scheinmann (Believe) will co-direct with his brother Danny Scheinmann from a script by Michael Mueller (The Beat Beneath My Feet).

Mueller will produce alongside Fiona Gillies and Raj Sharma for Scoop.

The company’s previous feature The Beat Beneath My Feet starred Screen star of tomorrow Nicholas Galitzine and was nominated for a Crystal Bear at the 2015 Berlinale’s Generation 14Plus strand, as well as a Raindance prize at the 2014 British Independent Film Awards...

'Believe' directors ready 'After Louise'
Exclusive: UK outfit Scoop Films readies third production.

London-based production outfit Scoop Films has attached brother Danny and David Scheinmann (Believe) to direct their next film After Louise, which is due to shoot this summer in 2015.

Scoop’s Fiona Gillies, Michael Mueller and Raj Sharma (City Slacker) will produce the darkly comic road movie about a teenage girl who runs out of her wedding and accidentally kidnaps a killer out on licence.

Script comes from Michael Mueller.

Scoop’s Berlin and Raindance comedy-drama The Beat Beneath My Feet is to be get a UK home entertainment release through Signature Entertainment.

Elle Fanning, Keanu Reeves, Christina Hendricks, Abbey Lee, Bella Heathcote and Jena Malone have signed on to co-star in Nicolas Winding Refn’s next feature.

“After making Drive and falling madly in love with the electricity of Los Angeles, I knew I had to return to tell the story of The Neon Demon,” Winding Refn said.

Principal photography will begin in Los Angeles on March 30. Gaumont and Wild Bunch are co-selling the title.

Wim Wenders’ Les Beaux Jours D’Aranjuez

This adaptation of the play by Peter Handke was announced by Alfama’s Paulo Branco during the Efm. It will star Reda Kateb and Sophie Semin. Wenders is expected to shoot in June.
