Bones Actress Brittany Ishibashi Will Play 'Karai' In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2
It looks like Karai will have a larger role in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, as Deadline report that the character has been recast, with Brittany Ishibashi replacing Minae Noji. Karai's origins are never alluded to in the first movie, but there have been several variations of them over the years. In classic Tmnt lore she's depicted as being either the daughter or granddaughter of Shredder, but in the new animated series for example, she's is actually Splinter's daughter, who's stolen and raised by Shredder to believe that the Turtles' sensei is the one responsible for the death of her mother. Ishibashi most recently appeared in TV shows such as Grace And Frankie, Bones and Emily Owens, M.D., as well as features Everything Before Us and The Harvesting. The actress joins Gary Anthony Williams, Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Laura Linney and Brian Tee in the...

Wong Fu Productions’ Feature Film ‘Everything Before Us’ Heads To Vimeo
Wong Fu Productions has secured a distribution partner for its first feature-length film. The YouTube group, founded in 2003 and comprised of Philip Chang, Wesley Chan, and Ted Fu, will release the movie Everything Before Us exclusively via Vimeo On Demand on June 3, 2015.

Originally premiering at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival on April 23, Everything Before Us is a science fiction romantic drama set in a modern day world not terribly unlike our own, except for the fact a person's romantic history is documented like a credit score. The flick focuses on a couple trying to overcome the inherent drawbacks of the system for individuals who haven't had a lot of luck in love.

Everything Before Us stars Aaron Yoo (The Tomorrow People), Ki Hong Lee (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Randall Park (The Interview), Brittany Ishibashi (Political Animals), Victoria Park (Raven’s Touch), and Brandon Soo Hoo (Tropic Thunder).

Wong Fu Productions Was Told They Shouldn’t Make A Movie, So They Raised $350K And Made One Anyway
With their powers combined, Wesley Chan, Ted Fu, and Philip Wang are Wong Fu Productions, an American digital filmmaking group that since 2003 has put out high-quality shorts, music videos, vlogs, and no feature films, all of which target a general and Asian American audience that enjoys entertainment and is currently more than 2.4 million YouTube subscribers strong.

Note that part about “no feature films” isn’t for lack of trying. In an effort to explore new mediums and wax creative Wong Fu navigated a moviemaking path back in 2008, but was stopped in its tracks by an entertainment environment that required permission and a target demographic that didn’t align with Chan, Fu, and Wang’s core audience. But in the past five years, that entertainment environment has evolved, permission is no longer necessary, and niche audiences can be good for business.

So, on April 9, 2015, the trio let loose a one-minute-and-31-second...
