Starz has released the first look at its upcoming action-packed gladiator drama Spartacus: House of Ashur with a teaser trailer that gives fans an early peek at the next chapter in the Spartacus franchise set to premiere this fall.

Nick Tarabay reprises his role as the infamous Ashur in this epic new saga which re-imagines possibilities and turns of fate from the original fan-favorite series. Outlander‘s Graham McTavish will co-star as Korris, Ashur’s Doctore, and Tenika Davis as Achillia, a fierce gladiatrix, with Steven S. DeKnight also continuing to helm the world of Spartacus as executive producer and showrunner.

Spartacus: House of Ashur will be a history-bending, erotic, thrilling, roller-coaster experience that builds on everything that made the original series a colossal hit. The series poses the question: what if Ashur, hadn’t died on Mount Vesuvius at the end of Spartacus: Vengeance?

Starz has announced casting for its epic new series Spartacus: House of Ashur, which has started production in New Zealand. Outlander’s Graham McTavish has joined the cast as Ashur’s Doctore, who trains the gladiators.

Tenika Davis has joined the cast as the first female gladiator in the Spartacus universe, a fierce warrior driven to surpass her male counterparts and earn her freedom.

Jamaica Vaughan, Ivana Baquero, Jordi Webber, Claudia Black, India Shaw-Smith, and Leigh Gill will also join Nick Tarabay in the epic new saga as series regulars.

Graham McTavish plays Korris, a former gladiator who won his freedom in the arena and is now Ashur’s Doctore, training the gladiators in Ashur’s Ludus. Tenika Davis plays Achillia, a female gladiator driven to surpass her male counterparts.

Jamaica Vaughan plays Hilara, a young, elevated house slave deeply in love with Ashur. Ivana Baquero plays Messia, a house slave who loves Hilara.

CBS has released a first promo for the one-two punch of NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i that will populate Monday nights this fall.

By pairing the long-running and brand-new crimesolving procedurals, the promo says, “We Just Solved Mondays,” while offering fleeting glimpses at the latter, which stars Vanessa Lachey. (Watch it below.)

Leslie Jones and Nat Faxon have joined “Our Flag Means Death” as recurring guest stars.

The HBO Max original comedy series is loosely based on the true adventures of Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby), a pampered aristocrat who abandoned his cushy lifestyle to become a pirate. Taika Waititi also stars as Blackbeard, history’s most feared and revered pirate.

Rounding out the ensemble cast are Ewen Bremmer, David Fane, Nathan Foad, Joel Fry, Samson Kayo, Guz Khan, Rory Kinnear, Matt Maher, Kristian Nairn, Con O’Neill and Vico Ortiz.

Jones, who is known for her roles in “Coming 2 America,” “Supermarket Sweep” and “Saturday Night Live,” is represented by CAA and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller & Gellman. The HBO Max pirate comedy series “Our Flag Means Death” has five new additions to its cast: Ewen Bremner, David Fane, Guz Khan, Matt Maher and Joel Fry, most recently seen in Disney’s “Cruella.” They will be joined alongside previously announced members Kristian Nairn, Nathan Foad, Samson Kayo, Rory Kinnear, Con O’Neill Vico Ortiz, and “Flight of the Conchords” alum and series lead Rhys Darby.

“Our Flag Means Death” is loosely based on the true adventures of Stede Bonnet (Darby), a pampered aristocrat who abandoned his life of privilege to become a pirate. The show was originally ordered at HBO Max in September 2020. The pirate comedy hails from writer, showrunner, and executive producer David Jenkins. Garrett Basch and Dan Halsted also serve as executive producers along with Taika Waititi, who will direct the pilot as well in addition to playing Blackbeard, history’s most infamous and feared buccaneer.

Trainspotting alum Ewen Bremner, David Fane, Joel Fry, Guz Khan and Matt Maher have joined the cast of HBO Max’s period comedy Our Flag Means Death. Rebecca Gibney, Anthony Lapaglia and Jessica Marais head the cast of crime thriller mini-series “Halifax: Retribution.” The show is the revival of an iconic Australian series that ran on the Nine Network for six seasons from 1994 to 2002, starring Gibney.

In the new show, produced for Nine, Gibney’s forensic psychiatrist character is called back from academia to the police front line when a serial sniper begins attacking Melbourne.

Original creator and writer Roger Simpson returns as writer and producer, alongside executive producer Mikael Borglund and writers Mac Gudgeon (“Killing Time”), Peter Gawler (“Underbelly”) and the Oscar-nominated Jan Sardi (“Shine”).

Production starts next month in Melbourne with Jacqueline McKenzie, Rick Donald, Hannah Monson (“Glitch”), Craig Hall, Mavournee Hazel and Louisa Mignone among the supporting cast.

Summer Night follows a group of young best friends confronted with a series of fast-approaching life decisions during the course of the night that will either leave them stuck in the comfort of adolescence or catapult them into adulthood. ‘My Life is Murder’

Cjz’s mystery-drama My Life is Murder starring Lucy Lawless will make its Us debut on Acorn TV, North America’s largest streaming service focused on British and international programming, following its broadcast premiere on Network 10 next year.

Lawless, who is well known in the Us for her roles in Spartacus, Ash vs Evil Dead, Parks and Recreation, Battlestar Galactica and Xena: Warrior Princess, plays private investigator Alexa Crowe, who uncovers the truth behind the most baffling of crimes.

The British — and others — are coming to Comcast. Acorn TV, a subscription video-on-demand service specializing in U.K. and international television, is now available to the cable giant’s Xfinity TV customers nationwide.

It’s the first pay-tv distribution deal for Rlj Entertainment’s Acorn TV, which offers a lineup of mysteries, dramas, and comedies previously unavailable to U.S. audiences. The advertising-free Svod service is available to Comcast subs for $4.99 monthly.

“The addition of Acorn TV and its curated collection of standout international television provides even more choice to our Xfinity TV customers, giving them another way to watch their favorite series or discover new and classic programs,” said Michael Imbesi, Comcast Cable’s VP of movies and pay-per-view programming.
