The most significant line in this short was "You're not well". Mattis is certainly disturbed, outward functioning hiding an inner turmoil.
The film says more to me than a setting of boundaries. There's another line, "This isn't working out any more" which seems to show a prior relationship between the teacher and Mattis.
It speaks to another truth too that's unmentionable nowadays - that it's often the younger person who makes the running and the older one who holds back. That's something that's overlooked in these days of victimhood.
The violence in the relationship was shocking. No wonder the film is age restricted.
I can neither recommend the film or not. It's going to hit different people in varied ways.
