It's a mix of comedy and drama. I think the title is also perfect. It really describes the Movie. Nice exposure to the Indian atmosphere"Curry" in the USA "American Plate". I wish I can explain what made me really Laugh and What was really emotional in every scene but I don't want to spoil the fun for those who haven't seen it yet.

This is a bunch of disjointed scenes thrown in together and not even one of them is remotely funny or credible. The characters are cliched and painful stereotypes and all attempt at comedy falls flat. I cant even imagine why the director decided to throw in the scene with the middle eastern character or the hillibilly family or the cameo romance. I made the mistake of watching it on Amazon Prime as an indophile and seriously regret losing the 1.5 hours of my life.
