K-drama My Dearest Nemesis tells the story of Su-Jeong, a young girl who works at one of the biggest corporations in South Korea and lives with her dad and younger brother. When Su-Jeong is in high school, she gets into video games and meets a sweet boy who goes by the username Black Dragon in the game. The boy claims he’s 22, and Su-Jeong essentially falls in love with him while they’re playing games. But, when they finally meet in person, she realizes the real game was being played with her heart. Su-Jeong publicly humiliates the boy, Ju-Yeon, who is in middle school, and leaves him high and dry. But, many years later, this same boy becomes her boss, and neither recognizes the other. It goes without saying that Solo Leveling(also known as "Only I Level Up"in South Korea) is the biggest anime of the moment. Based on the hit web novel written by Chugong and the equally popular webtoon illustrated by Jang Sung-rak (aka Dubu), Solo Leveling took the world by storm when it was turned into a massively successful anime in 2024. It also helps that the incredibly talented A-1 Studios animated the story, and none other than Hiroyuki Sawano scored the series.
With this in mind,it brings me no joy to say that, two seasons in, Solo Leveling is one of — if not — the most overrated anime I've seen in recent memory. That's not to say that it's bad or that it's somehow unwatchable. With the right mindset, Solo Leveling can be enjoyable and even exhilarating. It's also undeniably one of the best-made and best-looking anime airing right now.

There are many works with unique premises that have been adapted into anime. Redo of Healer remains one of the most controversial anime for many reasons. It is a blend of revenge fantasy with extreme adult-rated content that pushes the limits of what’s acceptable in mainstream media.
A still from Redo of Healer | Caption: Tnk
The work takes advantage and capitalizes on the lack of good revenge fantasy anime that fans seemed to want more of. Although much of the work has erotic scenes, that kind of novel does not sell much. But by adding in the crucial element of revenge, the work had an added layer of complexity to it.
This is what attracted many fans to read the novel, thus increasing its popularity despite its extreme content. Let us see how the author conceptualized the work and how it pushes the boundaries of the Seinen genre.

Audiovisual Producers Finland (Apfi) has unveiled its Mipcom slate.
The “diverse” lineup “highlights the extraordinary storytelling coming out of Finland,” teased executive director Laura Kuulasmaa.
The second season of the documentary series “Untold Arctic Wars” will focus on Cold War espionage and military conflicts in the region.
After the blockbuster success of the first season, which found placements in almost every major territory across the Americas, Europe, Mena and Asia, Tvf will be partnering again with Ntrnz to bring this latest season to buyers around the world, said Sam Joyce, Tvf’s senior acquisitions manager.
“Factual buyers are hungry for fresh angles on contemporary history and this series offers that in spades. With brand new testimony and newly unearthed archive, it promises to challenge our understanding of the global distribution of power during the Cold War years. Crash Landing on You quickly became one of TvN's most-watched K-Dramas of all time. It's known for its gripping and unique storyline and the memorable romance between its leads. Mr. Sunshine, Healer, While You Were Sleeping, and Snowdrop are great examples of K-Dramas to watch after Crash Landing on You.
Crash Landing on You has already cemented itself as a K-drama classic, but there are plenty of other K-dramas to watch that can give the same level of satisfaction. Though Crash Landing to You's rise to fame started modestly, it quickly became one of the best K-dramas of all time, as well as Tvn's most-watched K-drama at that time. Crash Landing on You's may no longer hold Tvn's record thanks to one of 2024's best K-dramas, but its impact certainly hasn't wavered.
Many factors have contributed to Crash Landing on You's overwhelming success. From beautiful cinematography to dark undertones of political unrest,...

The casting of Park Seo-joon and Park Min-young made "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?" a hit, elevating the characters with their chemistry and reputation. Lack of conflict weakened the storyline, with romantic moments favored over solid plotlines, hindering the development of the series. "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?" would have benefited from a shorter series to maintain energy and address pacing issues, as the climax came too soon.
What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? may still be an iconic K-drama six years later, but it is not without its issues. What's What Wrong With Secretary Kim? is an essential K-drama to watch for all K-drama fans as its fun premise sees CEO Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon) question why his secretary Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young) would want to quit working for him. Though What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?'s premise is relatively simple, it's still considered one of the best K-dramas of all time.

Welcome to Samdal-ri, the Korean drama starring Ji Chang-wook and Shin Hye-sun ended last month. Released in December 2023, the Kdrama received a lot of love from viewers worldwide. Even though it has been 2 weeks since the last episode aired, fans can’t stop discussing the beauty of the show’s storytelling, the characters and the performances.
However, actor Ji Chang-wook recently faced flak from some fans for smoking. On January 26, the Welcome to Samdal-ri team released a behind-the-scenes video featuring Chang-wook and other actors. In the video, the Healer actor smokes an electronic cigarette on the set. To the uninitiated, it is not legal in South Korea to smoke or vape in public places. Smokers must smoke only in designated smoking areas.
In South Korea, fans don’t spare celebrities for breaking rules. Hence, after the video was released, many expressed their disappointment on social media.

The endings of K-dramas are crucial to their success and viewer satisfaction, with many suffering from poor conclusions due to various factors. D.P., Bloodhounds, and Healer are examples of K-dramas with satisfying endings that resolve conflicts well and give characters their deserved outcomes. The endings of Tomorrow, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Move to Heaven, and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo are also notable for their emotional impact and the hopeful or happy resolutions they provide.
The growing popularity of K-drama is exposing the genre, and its engaging plots, to global viewers. Although it is often characterized by its numerous feel-good romcoms, that K-drama genre has many thrillers, comedies, and horrors up its sleeves. The category of K-drama isn't what makes a show successful, however, but the ending.

Ji Chang-Wook is underrated as an actor because he is mainly recognized for his action dramas, but his abilities in other genres are overlooked. The actor has made the difficult decision to stop doing action dramas due to the toll they take on his body. Ji Chang-Wook excels in both action and romance genres, proving that he can prevail in almost any character, and fans appreciate it when he appears in a drama that blends both genres.
Despite his popularity as one of the best K-drama actors, Ji Chang-Wook is fairly underrated because he is mainly recognized for his action dramas, Healer and The K2. However, while he's quite charming when doing Parkour or knocking people out in black suits, his acting abilities in other areas are sometimes overlooked.
For example, in dramas like Suspicious Partner and If You Wish Upon Me, Ji Chang-Wook excels as both a loving partner and a captivating protagonist.

After two back-to-back K-drama sensations, Healer and The K2, Ji Chang Wook took a break from action dramas because the stunts he does on a regular basis were taking a toll on his body. Nonetheless, the actor thrived in romance dramas such as Suspicious Partner, Lovestruck in the City, and The Sound of Magic.
While the past few years have been eventful for the actor, fans are looking forward to what he has in store for them this year. That being said, prior to Welcome to Samdalri, Ji Chang Wook appeared in another drama named The Worst of Evil. It has garnered glowing reviews from viewers, but fans are more interested in the latter because it is a feel-good romance drama. With that in mind, here's everything we know so far about the upcoming K-drama Welcome to Samdalri.

Korean dramas have become a staple of the Asian television industry thanks to their ever-growing coverage of various genres such as romance, fantasy, action, thriller, and melodrama. Over the past two decades, many successful dramas, including The Legend of the Blue Sea, Healer, and Crash Landing on You, have all made significant contributions in elevating these dramas to new heights, resulting in many more stories being adapted to the television screens.
Goblin, otherwise known as Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, is one such pioneering K-drama that set the standard exceptionally high for the subsequent dramas released throughout the years. Nevertheless, only a scant few have managed to provide a similar experience to Goblin, making it one of its kind. So, what differentiates this drama from several other Korean dramas recently airing on streaming platforms? And why does it get better with each rewatch?

Korean dramas have evolved beyond our expectations over the years, ranging from romance to thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat. Furthermore, they frequently feature exciting action scenes to provide a surprise element, which has now become a standard in every thriller drama. Dramas such as Taxi Driver, Vincenzo, and K2 have particularly taken the concept to the next level, tackling social issues to the extreme.
The upcoming Korean drama Vigilante is one such example, offering a new perspective on a vigilante who fights criminals both under the law and outside the law. Such concepts aren't new, though, as various superhero TV shows like Arrow and films like Batman have been doing them for years, but it's uncommon to see one from the Korean industry. That being said, here's everything we know so far about the new crime thriller K-drama Vigilante, including the plot, cast, trailer, and release date.

In the midst of Oscar week, indigenous women, environmental activists and fashion changemakers were the stars of the show at Thursday night’s Green Carpet Fashion Awards (Gcfa), which was held for the first time in Los Angeles at NeueHouse Hollywood.
