A Major recovery from the web-isode

Watching episode the prequel Web-isode left me utterly disappointed. It was nothing like what I had expected to come after a 5 year hiatus. I had pretty much decided that they had abandoned the complex character development and gone the funny zombie movie route. But, I begrudgingly watched episode 1 anyway.

Hooray! It is everything I expected from the series. Granted, I don't think anyone can replace the brilliance of the original cast, it still delivered in its own way. Plus, some (no spoiler) of the original cast is back in the series, and surprisingly they look to be in great physical shape. Its disappointing when you watch a squeal where some of the cast looks like they really let themselves go.

Cast: good. Acting: good. Special Effects: good. Cinematography: good. Story line: good. Screen play: good. There really are no short comings.

I'll be honest, I don't think you can one-up the original characters like Peter, Hiro, Sylar, and Noah (to name only a few.) Peter and Hiro alone were so well developed and cast that they could have had spin- off series. But, only one episode in, and I can't wait to see whats going to happen next.

If you were a fan of the original, I think you will not be disappointed.
