Saw this film at a showing while in Az. at Harkins theater last Sunday night. I was pleasantly surprised at the emotions the film took me through. Great writing by Mr. Joe Ricci who also starred in the film, as he should have. His persona and demeanor brought the character Jazz to life... someone who was down on his luck, just needing a break. Who hasn't been in that position ever? A film most people can relate to very well, with a splash of humor thrown in, mix well and serve! Come Out Fighting, a very palatable and pleasurable film. Congratulations to the cast and crew, production et., all. Well done. Will be looking forward to whatever Mr. Ricci comes up with next.
I am a tough audience, I watch mostly low budget indie films, as I just prefer the rawness and imperfection. I watched this over a friends house over the weekend and I have to say its not without its mis-steps, but when I see its a"micro-budget" film made for less than the price of a new car, I think its amazing, dialogue, most of the acting is at least good, fight scenes needed more time or better chorography maybe... but good enough to move the story forward. The ending kind of comical and not what I expected. Films like this made on a shoestring budget, always make me think, what if they had areal Hollywood budget what this could have been. I see some haters on here and I wonder if they really watched this film all the way though at all, cause as indies go. This was enjoyable in my opinion.
I was able to watch this film recently.
Having produced my own independent films over the years, I realize the extra struggle it takes to put a project like this together. When you don't have a big studio backing your film project, you have to hustle to get it done, to find a way to complete your film. I think if that is taken into consideration just going into viewing this film, that will open up the overall perspective a bit.
With characters including a main villain you want to go down, a love interest that hits a common and realistic chord, and the supporting character of "Freddie" who is capable of anything, you are instantly drawn in to these characters and their world.
The heartbeat of this film is Jazz, played on point, and with a lot of heart by Joe Ricci. Joe, who also wrote and produced the film, turns in a truthful performance that makes you instantly like the character, you find yourself rooting for Jazz to succeed in trying to better his life.
This film was not made in Los Angeles, it does not have any movie stars in it, but it is very entertaining, and like the main character Jazz, it has a lot of heart. With all the garbage that big studio films are putting out there, this film is definitely worth your viewing time. You might just be surprised how well an independent film made outside of Los Angeles and outside of the studio system could turn out.

WOW. I watch a lot of Indie Films, had the pleasure of seeing this film Saturday night. I haven't stopped thinking about it. Real cool fighting - realistic as well...A throw back feel good film, great characters and story. All the acting spot on, especially the 3 leads they were just really good. The plot was so believable and so real. It's hard to imagine how anyone with more acting experience could have done a better job! "Fast Buck Freddie" & "Gia" were amazing and so believable in this film & WOW....Joe Ricci as "Jazz", his look and his voice, how is this guy not in bigger films?? I can't believe Ricci isn't a star already in his own rite! It wasn't without some minor technical issues but overall I guess good films can be made on a modest budget after all.

This is by no means a big budget movie, but like the main actor is has heart. If you are looking for big effects go see a marvel movie, but if you want a heartwarming story, and some good fighting and some funny moments, check this out. I watched it on Apple Tv. Hope this helps.
No spoilers, but my favorite scenes are in the barn, and the casting was great on this. A few of the acting roles are a little suspect, but the main actor, Joe Ricci is able to carry this film. I hope to see him in future films, he's got the chops. The actor at the end is also pretty funny as Anthony, one of the other leads.. funny, good action, and heart - watch this.

I want to start out by saying that Writer, Producer, Actor, Joe Ricci brought the work ethic of the great films I grew up on back in Come Out Fighting!!...Rocky 1 and Cool Hand Luke are two films I loved and I see some elements in story and flavor of those two classics coming through big for the Dapper and Tough, yet Gentle soul of the lead, JAZZ played by Ricci. He was outstanding and showed "A List" potential in his first starring role in a feature!
I never want to hear again from anyone that a film around $100K or less can't hit the spot in quality, acting, edit, score, sound and lighting, which in every case I was amazed at all Joe and his team did to prove that fresh faces and talented crew are born in other places besides Hollywood!
This cast of local Arizona actors stormed the gates of stardom and knocked it down! I laughed, I cried, I got upset, which is golden since I am really hard to please. I can't stand films of today where you leave disappointed. Praise God Joe weathered the storm and went against the grain of casting past their prime names who could not do any better than the people that made this happen for pennies on the dollar.
A 10 in my book! GO SEE THE FILM is all I can say. The Fights are very real and the Love Story is a great contrast. Props to Leading Lady Michelle Palermo who was loyal and loving, she stuck the part ala Talia Shire in Rocky..
Richard Ryan was a great antagonistic bad guy and Anthony Pavelich who was the biggest surprise for me showed many layers and added comedic relief to the film. Job well done and a film to be proud of!

I typically don't watch fight films because they tend to be cheesy with redundant plot lines. This film was a breath of fresh air. It actually had a real story. The actors were all on point. Lots of fresh faces which I liked. I viewed the film at a premier in Scottsdale. Kudos to all who made this film! 9 out 10 for me. I recommend this film because it has layers. Good acting and story!!! I can't wait to see it come out On DVD. It's cutting edge. The characters Jazz and Freddie were a great Combo. All the extras were funny and crazy. 80s feel. Great songs. Should do well with 22 to 50 plus crowd. My parents recommended I go see it. Glad I did. Come out Fighting !!

It feels like every line falls flat. Two is a bit harsh but I am trying to balance out all of the crazy high ratings. I watched this because it had 7.9 rating. A four would be more fair. Feels like a low budget 80s movie.
It has some heart, just poorly executed.

It was my understanding when I was invited by a friend to see this Indie movie, that it was produced on moderate means - I didn't expect this when I went Harkins in Scottsdale on Sunday night - Ha! Twist and turns, realistic fighting, no over the top kicks and flips. Every actor performance spot on. Fast Buck Freddie what a character! HA!. Love the 2 leads Jazz and Gia - just a great story, I left the movie with a smile and I have been smiling ever since. The lead guy is very "Stallone like" In some scenes it like I was watching a Rocky flick. I hope the world sees this little hidden gem. For a film with no famous names I have t say it kept my attention through out.
I can't let any unsuspecting viewers loose on this film without a 'heads up' much in the same way you'd tell people on the beach that there is a shark in the water.
This made my head, eyes, mind and soul hurt just after ten minutes.
Who on earth wrote the review? This is toilet, but not the good kind - the kind that you destroy at your friends house and the flusher doesn't work - it's beyond bad.
I'm sorry to the peeps who penned the amazing reviews, but next time invest in production, acting, casting instead of paying off people to review.
If a dentist could pull the teeth in your mind, it'd be this film, I ain't lying.

The others here will tell you that this movie is a very high level indie film. It was made on a limited budget but that doesn't show. Nothing cheesy and nothing small time. I would like to talk about the production and the actors. I am a cinematographer with a pretty long IMDb resume stretching over 35 years. I had shot a film in 2005 starring Joe Ricci and was rather impressed with Joe's acting skills. Joe originally shot Come Out Fighting, in 2014, with another crew. After he reviewed the first cut, he decided that he needed the fight scenes to be a bit longer and more intense as well as some other scene changes. The original crew was not available, but we were. I gathered up my small crew and we went to work. It was my first time working with director Eric Weston and I could tell from the beginning that Weston was a seasoned veteran. We hit some great locations like The Domes in Casa Grande Arizona, 60 miles away. We also hit a questionable location in south Phoenix, a deserted motel and a furniture factory next to the railroad tracks. Working with the actors was a breeze. All of the cast were one-take actors. Director Weston got the deliveries he needed in record time. The lead actors, Joe Ricci, Michelle Palermo and Anthony Pavelich were some of the best actors I've ever had the privilege of working with. As we follow them through the story, we see the depth of their character's personalities and we anxiously await what they're going to do next.
Worth watching. And I don't compliment very often.

I came to this movie premiere with no expectations, and no opinion, and walked away feeling like I was luck to be there. It was a great film from beginning to end, sincere and heartfelt. Just enough comedy to keep it going, but still a strong action/drama film with a few good twists.
If you have a chance to view this film, don't pass it up. Joe Ricci is a great film director and many more great films are ahead of him.
Its a story about a working class hero who adjusts his world because his world adjusts him.
10/10 stars

I'm very confused on how this has an almost 8 out of 10. The acting is horrible and corny.
You would think it was filmed in the early 90s by the fighting scenes.
The main character talks so quietly the I had my TV cranked then the next scene would be so loud that it was obnoxious.
Everything is so predictable that it's overwhelming corny, like pushing a guy into a jukebox then some fighting type of music comes on.
I love underground and Indie movies but so far into this one it seems to be very poorly done.
Going to try and finish it because it has to have these good of reviews for a reason right?
If not I'll disappointed that I chose this over Jungleland.
I'll fix my review if it somehow ends up better.

Great flick. Gotta love the story lines. Yes, lines. Stories inside stories here. There is more to this movie than just a happy ending. You must watch to the very end. Great surprise ending. Highly recommended. Keeps you engaged. Subtle comedy, drama and love story. A fun flick to watch. Brings you close to the world of bare knuckle fighting, the influences from the underworld, an unexpected love interest and the flunky that pulls everyone together. You hate him and you love him at the same time. Bring your snacks with you because you won't want to walk away and miss the plot as it builds through new characters ... and some of the characters are truly characters in and of themselves. Time well spent. Grab your popcorn and a coke and settle in. You'll be thankful that you did.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film!! It proves that you don't have to spend millions of dollars or have very well known names to produce such an amazing film!! Every aspect of this film was tremendous, with many great characters, with the lead, Joe Ricci, who's also is the writer, in an award winning performance!! The director, Eric Weston, did a wonderful job directing this film, the cinematography made the film look like a 10 million dollar film, and the story line, reminded me of the great older films which I grew up on and loved so much, such as "Hard Times", "Rocky 1", and "The Pope of Greenwich Village"!!! The casting of this film was spot on, and all the characters and fresh faces, were so entertaining. This wasn't just a fighting film, it was a film about life, and a buddy movie, with some nice twists and turns, and the film keeps you on your feet with the action, as well as the dynamic acting!! It would be a shame if this film did not play major theaters or get a great DVD distribution deal, as everyone should see this film. I personally think this film would win awards, if submitted to the very top film festivals!! It was a sentimental love story, but with many comedic moments also, as well, as great choreographed fight scenes, which come across so very real, it's hard to believe that they are not. SEE THIS FILM!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!!
I recently watched this on Tubi and I have to say I agree with the positive comments on here in the fact that if this was made on a "micro-budget" its really good. One of those films you may have to sit through a few rough scenes and of course things could have been better here and there I suppose if they had a bigger budget, but over all the story. Characters, dialogue keep me entertained, I like the ending also not typical and kind of funny...Also title end credit thought I knew that voice. John Parr 80's sound track king, St Elmo's fire, the running man, 3 men and a baby and many more...Well done film on the cheap.

I know it's low budget indie film but I'm a great admirer of this film and ones like this. I find it to be incredibly engaging and the story is pretty good. Fight scenes could have been a little better but they did pull it off. I've never had the chance to see any of these actors but I believe they were good at what they did. I myself have been around the world and seen a lot of the 'actual' bare knuckle fights. This does come close to some 'encounters' I have personally witnessed, I was in the Navy, to say the least it's a world you would not want to be around. I think this is a good film and truly enjoyed watching it. Thx to all who put this together. 🍿

I watched this film on tubi and although it seems a small budget indie film once it got going I was surprised how good it was - lots heart clever dialogue - acting was solid -lead actors very "rocky" like--nice twist at the end with the grand prize lol clever-wounderful little low budget indie.

I didn't have much, if any expectations about this movie before before watching it, my Uncle said it was funny. Anyway, I was pretty surprised! This movie is great! Excellent music, good fight scenes. A possible Cult Classic? You decide.

After coming across this I read the reviews and decided to give it ago on Tubi - I see some of the "critics" on here bashing? To answer some of you as to why some people rate this high, my take is first it says the budget was $65K? If that is the case it was pretty well done, the 2nd dialogue was catchy, Story was good, there were moments I laughed the Freddie character was every guy I grew up with, funny loser. The acting is 90% at least all of the leads were solid especially the lead guy Jazz, sort of like a poor man's Stallone. Fighting scenes could have been better, but something about the film it has heart, and the ending was not atypical "hero's ending by any means that you see so much in these types of films. I didn't see it coming. Has an 80's feel for sure, I thought the title song on the end credits sounded familiar and it seems that is John parr UK rock star famous for the hit song St Elmo's fire, That was pretty cool. Overall, I liked it and its worth a watch but if you're a critically acclaimed film snob expecting a studio film watch something else.
