When one fine morning the peaceful neighborhoods of Jocasta is disrupted by the unexpected disappearance of a Latvian manicurist, widow, mother and alleged business woman Iocasti Papadamou joins forces with the ingenious, except totally naive neighbor Vivi Neratzaki. Faced with the frightening prospect of staying their hands without a manicure, the two "aristocrat" decide to shed light on the bizarre case.

With her lavish dinner party only a few hours away, the glamorous widow, mother-of-two, and merry co-owner of a T-shirt factory, Iokaste Papadamou, is shocked to discover that Nadia, the statuesque Latvian manicurist of her eccentric, scaredy-cat neighbour, Vivi Neratzaki, has gone missing. Now, threatened with having a bad hair day, the amateur investigators team up to get to the bottom of the beautician's case of unaccountable disappearance, sniffing for clues in the once-peaceful neighbourhood. However, with so much at stake, this is easier said than done, and as hand-picked guests and mysterious party-crashers alike start arriving, well-hidden family secrets will come to light before dawn.
