definitely more interesting as a short than as the feature

Earlier this month, a horror feature called "Night Swim" got released, depicting a swimming pool inhabited by an evil entity.

It turns out that the movie was an adaptation of a 2014 short by the same title. Being only three or four minutes long, this version doesn't depict the whole backstory. Nonetheless, it's the better version. The story of an eerie swimming pool just seems more effective when it leaves things open to interpretation, as this does.

It's not any sort of great movie, but okay for the few minutes that it lasts. I recommend seeing this one before seeing the feature. And see if you want to venture into the pool afterwards.

Well Done

Creepy and effective. It sort of reminded me of a pool version of "Lights Out". Well done.

Very short, but an interesting proposal

Fairly short and short, without much to explain, Night Swim is a short film that offers an interesting idea. After finishing watching it, you are left wanting to see more. It's not original, but it's a short film that feels fresh. When the woman suspects that someone is watching, that's when things get interesting. Of course there is much more to tell and luckily the production company Blumhouse decided to make a new version of this proposal in the form of a feature film to be able to delve deeper into the context. So Night Swim is in conclusion an effective and quick to digest horror short film that leaves you wanting more. My final rating for this short film is a 6/10.

decent

A decent thriller who seems correct homework. The pool, the vulnerable single woman, the presence and its not comfortable identity. And, sure, the silent end. Nothing remarkable but proof , for a short-short film , of good craft. And, maybe, it is enough for a nice thriller who respects the basic rules of horror.
