Page Kennedy has joined the cast of “The Breed,” an upcoming reimagining of the cult favorite. He joins a cast that also includes Grace Caroline Currey. The film will be directed by brothers Nathan and Griff Furst, who will also produce together through their Curmudgeon Films shingle.

Kennedy, a Shakespearean-trained performer, was recently seen in “The Meg 2: The Trench,” appearing opposite Jason Statham in the mega-shark movie, which opened last summer. Directed by Jon Turteltaub (Last Vegas, National Treasure) and featuring a cast that includes Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Cliff Curtis, Rainn Wilson, and Ruby Rose, filming on Meg began last October in New Zealand, with shooting on the project also being done in China.

Principal photography is underway in New Zealand on the science fiction action thriller Meg, being directed by Jon Turteltaub (the National Treasure movies, Last Vegas). The film stars Jason Statham (Spy, Furious 7, The Expendables films). Award-winning Chinese actress Li Bingbing (Transformers: Age of Extinction, Forbidden Kingdom, The Message) has been set to star opposite Statham.

A deep-sea submersible—part of an international undersea observation program—has been attacked by a massive creature, previously thought to be extinct, and now lies disabled at the bottom of the deepest trench in the Pacific…with its crew trapped inside. Richard Dean Anderson in MacGyver (1985)
When we first laid eyes on Don’t-Call-Me-Angus MacGyver, he was sporting a ridiculous pom-pom hat while scaling a cliff to track down a stolen missile, which he proceeded to defuse using, yes, a paper clip.

James Wan To Helm New "MacGyver" Pilot
James Wan is set to direct the premiere episode of the reboot of "MacGyver" for CBS.

Wan, already an executive producer, had originally been set to direct the pilot, but had to back away from it because of his schedule. Now a window has opened up allowing the opportunity.

Having been picked up to series, CBS has decided to scrap the original pilot and shoot a new premiere episode. Lucas Till and George Eads are still onboard in lead roles, but otherwise an entirely new cast is joining them including "Rush Hour" actor Justin Hires.

Bill Lawrence to helm 'It Crowd' adaptation for NBC
Chevy Chase, Ken Jeong, Joel McHale, Jim Rash, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, and Donald Glover in Community (2009)
Last year, NBC lost The Office and 30 Rock. It canceled Community, and sometime next year, we'll see the last of the Parks & Rec gang. The future has seemed bleak for NBC's once-lauded comedy content, so maybe that explains why it's digging through old projects to turn things around: Deadline reports that Cougar Town and Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence has signed on to produce an NBC adaptation of the popular British sitcom The It Crowd. NBC has been here before. It picked up an It Crowd pilot starring Joel McHale (and Richard Ayoade, from the original British version) in the 2006-2007 season,...

The It Crowd getting new Us remake from NBC
The It Crowd is getting a new Us remake from NBC.

The Peacock Network has commissioned an adapted pilot from Scrubs creator and Cougar Town co-creator Bill Lawrence.

Lawrence will be working on the pilot with Community's Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan, reports Deadline.

The trio previously worked together on Scrubs. Lawrence is also working on a television version of the Rush Hour movie franchise.

NBC previously attempted to adapt The It Crowd in 2006, with Joel McHale, Jessica St Clair and Rocky Carroll in the lead roles.

The It Crowd originated in the UK from a pilot by Irish screenwriter Graham Linehan.

The original series starred Chris O'Dowd, Richard Ayoade and Katherine Parkinson as It department staffers at London's Reynholm Industries.
