Crazy Town frontman Shifty Shellshock died from the combined effects of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed on Tuesday, September 24th.
In a statement to Rolling Stone, the coroner’s office referred to Shellshock’s death as an “accident.”
Shellshock — whose birth name was Seth Binzer — died on June 24th after being found unresponsive at his home. He was 49 years old.
His representative, Howie Hubberman, said in a statement following his passing that, “Seth has been struggling with substance abuse problems for quite sometime. Seth was not happy with the daily struggle that’s called life. Some people cope in many different ways. It’s unfortunate we lose so many people to addiction and accessibility to harmful drugs. Shifty was a real-life tragedy. Too fast, too hard, too soon.”

Jason Aldean’s debut single, 2005’s “Hicktown,” arrived on country radio like a kick in the teeth, blending hard rock with country music and lyrics that unabashedly celebrated a certain type of rural life: “You can see the neighbor’s butt crack nailing on his shingles/and his woman’s smokin’ Pall Mall’s, watchin’ Laura Ingalls,” he sang.
“Hicktown” was an overnight success, a Top 10 hit on Billboard’s Hot Country chart and a crossover pop hit on the Hot 100. And the singles that followed were also mostly radio smashes,...

Chicago Fire has had a revolving door of characters through its 11 seasons, including Wendy Seager. The long-running procedural, part of Dick Wolf's One Chicago franchise, follows the personal and professional lives of the firefighters, rescue personnel, and paramedics of the Chicago Fire Department Firehouse 51. While the show tends to focus on the main cast, recurring characters get their share of the story and often stick around for multiple seasons, winding in and out of the crisscrossing story.
One of the later introductions to Chicago Fire is Wendy Seager, a Lieutenant with the Office of Fire Investigation. Wendy first appears in season 8, episode 7, “Crazytown,” and is a recurring character for a few episodes. She then departs in season 9 only to return in seasons 10 and 11. Wendy worked closely with Lieutenant Kelly Severide in their fire investigations, and their close proximity and easy chatter always bordered on flirtatious. She may not have...

A brutal fist fight between Crazy Town bandmates Seth Binzer (aka Shifty Shellshock) and Bobby Reeves has led to the band being kicked off the “Nu Metal Madness Tour 2” by headliners Hed Pe.
As reported on Tuesday (April 25th), co-vocalists Binzer and Reeves engaged in a bloody brawl over the weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, following a disastrous gig in which Binzer didn’t show up until the very end of the show. Video shows Binzer absolutely pummeling Reeves for most of the fight, with the latter only getting in a few punches himself.
On Tuesday night, Hed Pe lead singer Jared Gomes took to Instagram to inform fans that his band made the decision to remove Crazy Town from the package tour (tickets available here), which also includes Adema and Tantric. The vocalist pointed out that the reason was mostly for the health of Binzer, who has a...
