Steven Seagal in Code of Honor (2016)

Trivia

Code of Honor

Edit
Steven Seagal's character does not speak until 48 minutes into the film.
Filming was repeatedly halted due to Seagal's chronic flatulence, and once due to a power outage. It remains unclear if they were connected.
In a scene left on the cutting room floor, Colonel Robert Sikes played by Steven Seagal and Major William Porter played by Craig Sheffer, have a conversation at night. Sikes is sat down beside a campfire and is approached by Porter, who after a moment of staring at Sikes says, "Colonel, you are the most honourable man i have ever met". Sikes lifts his head up and looks at the stars in the night sky, after a short moment he mumbles "That's because i am Honor". Porter also looks up at the night sky and says "I wish i was like you, i want to be honourable like you, but i don't know how". Sikes, now staring at the moon mumbles "You can't be like me, nobody can" he then stares at the campfire as he roasts some marshmallow on a stick. Porter now staring at the back of Sikes head says, "But why? the world would be a better place with more people like you". Sikes eats his marshmallow, after swallowing the whole piece in one go, he continues staring at the campfire and mumbles "I live by the code", he then stares at the stars once more and mumbles "My code". Porter still staring at the back of Sikes head, specifically at his hairpiece and asks "What code? What is the code?". Sikes struggles as he gets up from his chair, he puts his sunglasses on and walks away. Porter once again asks, but shouts this time as Sikes continues to walk away, "What is the code!?". Two minutes later, Sikes, now 30 feet away turns around, pauses, removes his sunglasses and mumbles "Code of Honor". Porter shouts "I can't hear you!". The scene ends. The scene was intended as the opening scene, leading to the title card as Seagal said his final line. However, It was considered too costly and time consuming to fix the audio in the scene due to Seagal's mumbling of all his lines. Despite the removal of the scene and ignoring the directors occasional requests to speak up, Seagal still mumbled his way through the dialogue for the rest of filming.
Seagal maintained and cleaned his rifle regularly, keeping it by his side the whole time during production. Attached to his rifle so much he named it "Baby girl". He would often be seen touching and mumbling to it between filming. He tried to purchase the rifle after the film wrapped but the owner refused to sell it. After a brief altercation, Seagal had a panic attack and was taken to hospital. The gun owner later filed a restraining order against Seagal after he showed up at his house begging for "Baby girl".
Code of Honor was filmed entirely in the state of Utah. This was Steven Seagal's first time filming in Salt Lake City, Utah.
