The Bush Knife

Not many films try to be different. But this is one of the few action/thrillers that shocked and amazed audience with it's dark and gritty imagery and a few light comical moments. The best actor in the film is Ryan Mayne who is outstanding as the main villain.

I like this film for one thing. That it focused on having an ordinary person who becomes this hero instead of what we are shown by Hollywood. It deserves it's chance and we need more films like this. Well done to the director.

The film had a vengeance type tale that has been done by hollywood over and over. But it was very engaging and entertaining to my surprize. I actually think that the chief of police character should have more scenes in this film cause his quiet good. But for a low budget south african movie I think. It was pretty good.

Renaldo Kell dived into a new kind of revenge movie. The average man revenge movie. Interesting story and nice fight sequences very Avant Garde and it definitely a winner, action packed, funny and entertaining. We are intrigued to find out about skull criminal organisation. It is a different take on an action man to be heavy set or in this woke culture we have to call him generously proportioned. But why does so many people who get vengeance in movies well built men. The fact that the character generously proportioned makes him more vulnerable. The character has no good looks or charm but is a father makes for good viewing thank you sir for putting something worthwhile in sout africa.

The Bush Knife is an epic thriller action that gives a South African take on the anti-hero genre. The first real hero for the Indian South African community. The film has a lot of story but not once do you feel bored. One of the best local films I've seen so far.
