Being There

A guy, a sort of combination of Woody Allen and Rick Moranis seems to be a spy of some sort. He is dull and blank. He watches ridiculous TV and ignores the craziness going on around him. He is also a romantic, thinking he is full of adventure and looking for a love interest. Suddenly, in bursts a full blown, quite beautiful terrorist, one of many attacking major cities. Interesting premise that sort of fizzles at the end.

Very well delivered world within which a well controlled tone guides a satisfying and darkly comedic narrative (SUGGESTIVE SPOILERS)

romance. and little more

Unusual. Nice. Sweet-bitter. Well crafted. A man in love with a terrorist. And that is all. Enough for explore the sides of love and the near social reality.
