Tatiana Maslany and Malia Arrayah in She-Hulk : Avocate (2022)

Review by fraser-simons

She-Hulk : Avocate

7/10

Funny, meta, unique

Some aspects don't fully land but on the whole, it pulls off what it's going for. It feels like both a tv show and not just a long movie like the other shows. On top of that, it's not merely a parody of something else already produced. It's fun and funny, and pretty clever. Is it shocking that a down-to-earth show like this has meta commentary that inflames the entitled marvel fan base? Not really. And it's by far the most comedic parts of the show.

I had expected it to by a one for one Kelly Sue run, but this works even better, for me. The CGI is the one thing I do agree with most people on: it doesn't fully work, but u actually can't pin-point why. Maybe an uncanny valley-ish thing happening. Sometimes it's on point and other times it simply doesn't blend.
