Sai Tamhankar, Parna Pethe, and Lalit Prabhakar in Medium Spicy (2022)

Review by undonelondone

Medium Spicy

10/10

A slow cooked, well marinated beautifully narrated piece of creativity

Very few movie makers have the guts to create something that is not in a rush to end. Very few movies spend time detailing characters to an extent that the story is irrelevant, and fairly optional. Very few movies dare to narrate a love story with everything - except an explicit display of love between the main characters.

Well, the makers of Medium Spicy have shown quite boldly how it can be done so beautifully. The movie moves at a pace which can discourage the average movie goer who want to see now-and-here from start to finish and quickly. An audience hungry for a T20 style of movie making will be dissapointed, as the movie maneuvers through intertwined lives and instances instead of a black and white narration. The movie has layers of thoughts and ideas which will leave you with a subtle after-taste. I enjoyed it entirely and kudos to the cast, the cinematography, the camera angles and direction, it has been an art worthing noting.

Hope for more of these !
