One Fateful Night with My Boss (2024)

Review by agrg-86386

One Fateful Night with My Boss

10/10

Stands out among a sea of mini series

This is probably the best vertical series I've seen thus far. The two leads are actually good actors and the little boy that plays their son is phenomenal as well. The antagonist is often overly exaggerated, but I think that was intentional to create a contrast between the lead couple who is calm and mature, and the antagonist whose behavior is childish.

The chemistry between the two leads is off the charts. It makes it easy to overlook any cheesy parts of the plot because their chemistry is insane and you want them to be together immediately. It wasn't overly cheesy though, but one thing I disliked were the sound effects used when something was supposed to be funny. They were unnecessary and quite frankly annoying. That's not the actors' fault though, that's on the production team.

I was thoroughly impressed by the two lead actors, Ryan Watson Henderson and Cosette Hatch. They are independently great actors and I hope they move on to bigger projects. Not all actors can pull off emotional scenes in a realistic manner, but Ryan and Cosette had me believing everything. The montage while Anita (Cosette) cried in the elevator was amazing. And heart-wrenching. She deserves to be on the big screen. And I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Ryan and Cosette are both insanely good looking. They have the looks and the talent. I hope to see them work together again, but more than that I hope to see them in bigger projects.
