Simply Kia

Mild romance

V=Scotty Fox departs from his usual crummy comedy format to direct a straight romance, but the results are underwhelming. Quite lovely ocean and shore photography are the highlights of yet another nothing-burger from him.

Peter North is vacationing with pal Marc Wallice and pretty girls, but he's just moping around, carrying a torch for Krista, who he was supposed to marry but she chickened out at the last moment. He goes swimming alone and nearly drowns, waking up on shore with beautiful Kia (she looks like a bronzed native girl from Tahiti) hovering over him, but she quickly goes back into the ocean.

He's got to find her, and she finds him instead, telling him she's a mermaid. However, no doubt due to budgetary reasons, this mermaid has legs not a tail and tantalizes him with a legend that a mermaid can become human by having sex with a human.

Before this can happen, Krista shows up, intent on marrying Peter after all. He catches her making love to shp captain Jon Dough, so that ends that, but Kia does find him again and they make love right through to one of Pete's crowd-pleasing money shots. However, the movie ends quite stupidly, and unsatisfyingly.. I'm guessing the reason that a potentially entertaining, escapist wish-fulfillment sex movie (for Couples) ended up badly is because Scotty didn't want to ruin his perfect record of directing hundreds of guaranteed awful videos.
