Freedom and Death
One of the best Greek movies of the last 5 years. The protagonist fully captures the ideals of freedom, love, patriotism, and internal struggle. The only black spot is the fight choreography of two scenes but the acting blurs it out completely. The imagery also gives justice to its theme of love and struggle. The depiction of violence is also done really well and in a way that hasnt been seen in many years. A side character of a teacher also appears as a black spot but later changes his ways. To sum up, I believe that everyone who loves Kazantzakis' works and ethics needs to watch this movie at once.
