Queen Pin (2010)

Review by paul_m_haakonsen

Queen Pin

2/10

Ughn, it was pretty stereotypical...

Needless to say that I had never heard about this 2010 crime movie titled "Queen Pin" from wroter and director Gin X, prior to stumbling upon the movie by random chance here in 2023. Given the movie's cover and the whole premise of it, I must admit that I wasn't really harboring much of any expectations. Yet, I still opted to watch the movie, given the fact that it was a movie that I had never heard about.

Naturally I wasn't familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list in this movie. And it wasn't as if there were any famous people to be seen anywhere. But with names of actors and actresses such as Dirt Diggla, Mob Boss, Yella Boi, Tony 904, Dread, Big E, G Hustle, Lil Jack, Nard, Shout Out, Scooby, and so forth, I can't really claim to think that I was in for a movie with stellar acting performances.

The dialogue in the movie, as written by Gin X, was pretty simplistic. However, the delivery of the dialogue was somewhat wobbly and forced at times. Some of the actors and actresses weren't really capable of delivering believable dialogue while they were in front of the camera. Especially when almost every single sentence from a certain actor contained the phrasing "feel me", then it grew very tiring and annoying, very fast.

"Queen Pin" was a rather generic and stereotypical movie. And I certainly wasn't the target audience for a movie of this type.

My rating of "Queen Pin" lands on a two out of ten stars.
