Snøfall (2016)

Review by Amandajullo

Snøfall

10/10

Best Advent Calendar!

I don't know why, but when Snøfall first debuted, I found myself on NRK as a Swede. I'd been tired of the poor productions in Sweden and I was searching for something to lift my christmas spirit. And I really seem to have been in the right place at the right time. Because damn, it's the best advent calendar I've ever seen.

The story is unusually good and thought out and it feels more like a family movie instead of a low budget series. What really makes it solid is that there was love and care put into the production, and how phenomenal the actors are.

This is the work of people truly going all in to create something great that compared to similar shows, doesnt go down just like water. The story has depth and emotions and it's clearly evident in how Snofall represents the joy and imagination, while the real world is a boring and sad place.

I even found myself shedding a tear or two and it really stuck with me for a long time. When I found out that they were creating Snøfall 2 I understood that I wasnt the only one in the world who loved the show. And I think it was a wise decision to go at it again. The world is already there and the characters are too good to let go of.
