The Stepmother 3 (2023)

Review by paul_m_haakonsen

The Stepmother 3

3/10

This was just a copy and paste job of parts one and two...

After a less than mediocre first "The Stepmother" movie and an even worse "The Stepmother 2" movie, I must admit that I wasn't really in any particular rush to sit down and watch the 2022 third movie "The Stepmother 3". Yet, I still opted to do so, on the off chance that the movie would actually be an improvement upon the previous two movies in the series.

However, I have to ask one question after having watched "The Stepmother 3"; just how much soup can directors Marques Houston and Chris Stokes brew on the watered down broth that was first "The Stepmother" movie? This third movie was nothing more than a copy and paste job of the previous two movies. And if you've seen either or both of them, you can easily skip on part 3, as it brings nothing new to the series.

The acting performances in "The Stepmother 3" were actually fair enough, despite of a very inferior script. And it was nice to have returning actors and actresses from the previous two movies return to reprise their characters and roles here in the third movie.

I found "The Stepmother 3" to be a massive waste of time, and it is one that you can just skip on if you've seen "The Stepmother" or "The Stepmother 2", both from 2022, also from writers Marques Houston and Chris Stokes.

My rating of director Chris Stokes's 2023 movie "The Stepmother 3" lands on a three out of ten stars.
