X KNIGHT Escape from Warp Hell (2023)

Review by kirachloe

X KNIGHT Escape from Warp Hell

2/10

UGH

For a drama class project, this would be considered OK, even good. As a movie for general consumption, don't waste your time. Taking a walk around your neighborhood would be more entertaining.

In fact, I only decided to write this review so potential viewers won't have to suffer as I did.

The acting is so-so AT BEST. One or two actors seem to have a clue, the rest ... well I have seen better in high school productions. If anything this seemed rushed. How about taking the time to actually setup and practice the scenes?

As just one example, every fight scene looked like it was done in a single take, like you were in a community theater. You can actually do multiple practice runs, and then multiple takes, to get them to look SOMEWHAT real, especially when you are expecting the confrontations to be a major part of your story!

OK, taking into account this was a LOW BUDGET film, the locations/props were understandable. They probably spent more money on the hero's mask than anything else. The script was OK ... if you think cartoon network should be your baseline. Yet Scooby-doo might take offense at that.
