Shiva, Anju Kurian, Ma ka Pa Anand, and Megha Akash in Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum (2023)

Review by saru2020

Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum

7/10

first AI mockery Tamil film

This is probably the first mockery kinda Tamil film made with AI with a decent plot that's good enough to keep us hooked but IDK why but I really don't like actors who act like acting in the films and Siva is the only person in Tamil film industry who's still surviving by doing this silly act for a very long period of time, so unsurprisingly he's the problem of this entire film since all his films follow the same pattern of mockery & comedy sequences, it makes this film unlikeable/unwatchable.

Although the plot was loosely based on the 'Upload' series, the story had decent scenes & the screenplay was also good enough to keep us hooked till the very end.

And this film being the first of its own kind, it is much appreciable that the movie industry is at least bringing up such tech-based content.

Overall, it's a one-time watchable film if you're a tech enthusiast and would ignore Siva's annoying act.
