Charles: Our New King (2022)

Review by leftbanker-1

Charles: Our New King

1/10

All Men Are Created Equal

Stop me if you've heard this one before, I just heard it very recently, like after I'd already posted this review:

King Charles and Camilla are driving at night when he runs over a rabbit. He stops to look at the flattened bunny when a leprehaun appears offering Charles a wish.

"Can you bring this poor creature back?" asks the new monarch, looking at the squashed hare.

The Leprechaun looks at the animal shaking his head.

"Don't ya have another wish, my lord? This poor fella is too far gone." "Well then, can you make Camilla beautiful?" Charles asks hopefully.

The Leprechaun looks at Camilla in horror, then returns his attention to the dead animal in the road.

"Let's have another peek at this little fella."

I'm glad he's not my new king. It's 2022, people. Shouldn't we be finished with monarchies? Why do we insist on allowing inbred half-wits to have the status of royalty?

If Charles wants to run for office, then that would be OK with me. Trump is a privileged piece of garbage, but at least he was elected (although with fewer votes than Clinton). What has Charles done to deserve his exalted position but be born in the correct womb?

It's time to make Britain a republic, free of the power of royals and the church. It's time to enter the twenty-first century, although 22 years late. This documentary never brings up the obvious point that royalty in our age is absurd.

Down with monarchies and power to the people!
