Please GMAFB with the whole 'oh, the person we just told had a dead spouse/child/SO/boss/etc didn't completely lose their mind in grief so they're OBVIOUSLY GUILTY!!' nonsense; as a clinical psychologist I can say with 100% certainty that every single person, no matter their proximity to an horrific life event, will have a reaction that is unique and could be completely out of character for them. Most go into some form of shock, some don't believe in emotions on their sleeve, some don't care and will carry on to the point of hyperventilating, you just don't know what will happen.

Also?

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE GIVE AT LEAST SOME PUSHBACK TO THE NONSENSE THAT COPS/PROSECUTORS PUSH- 'oh they asked for a lawyer!! They had something to hide! Innocent people don't have attorneys present!!' Completely innocent people are railroaded every day around the world, and I don't care what circumstance it's under, if you want to talk to me, you're doing so with my attorney present and I want everything recorded audio and visual. Don't like it? Tough. It's my right under the constitution and innocent people have been executed with almost no evidence to support the claim, and because I choose to use the right, I am not a guilty person. In fact, anyone who doesn't immediately ask for an attorney I immediately begin to question their thought processes- if you feel like being on trial for something you didn't do, by all means, go right ahead, but asking for your attorney DOES NOT MAKE YOU GUILTY.

These two are so intentionally obtuse- playing to the lowest common denominator for an audience, with no ability to factually tell a story without painting their own ridiculous opinions all over the place.
