Granted, I haven't seen the first movie here, so I don't know how much of a direct continuation this 2014 sequel was. But still, I opted to sit down and watch it, since it was an Asian movie that I hadn't already seen.

Needless to say that I had no idea what I was in for here from writers Thai Hoa, Charlie Nguyen and Martin Nguyen. But I will say that they actually managed to deliver a watchable and entertaining movie. Sure, "De Mai Tinh II: De Hoi Tinh" (aka "Let Hoi Decide") wasn't a particularly outstanding or memorable comedy, but it was adequate entertainment for a single viewing.

There was a fair amount of comedy and funny situations throughout the course of the movie. And they had a great cast ensemble to portray the characters in the movie. I wasn't familiar with the cast here, but then again I am not overly familiar with Vietnamese cinema.

The character gallery in the movie was good, as the writers had created some funny and interesting characters with lots of variation.

I was adequately entertained by "De Mai Tinh II: De Hoi Tinh". However, I doubt that I will ever return to watch it a second time, as the storyline just wasn't that outstanding or memorable.

My rating of "De Mai Tinh II: De Hoi Tinh" lands on a six out of ten stars.
