A bit of a mess
I can tell the fact that this was made by someone with not a lot of experience and even fewer budget, but that doesn't diminish all of the problems it has. In some moments it's clear a higher budget could have helped things, but in other it seems as more of a lack of talent.
The acting is the biggest problem, with most of it being pretty bad. Most of it isn't very good, but Simon stands out a lot. In the scenes that call for a lot of desperation from him, he seems to be just reading a paper out loud and just makes hard to take it seriously.
The camera work has some issues as well, but this is something that i would forget because of the budget.
The writing isn't that bad, but i feel like it's missing some of the subtlety that the game, being a bit over the top and corny at times. Also, it fails to give a meaning to everything "inside the book" for the "real Simon" and it just seems to be a series of events that just happen. There's some good ideas tho.
