Decent, but underwhelming for FiM
This special is certainly in the FiM feeling, but a lot of the obvious filler and lack of tension in the narrative reminds one of earlier generations of MLP, making this feel more like something to be expected from very early in the series' run rather than so late.
It would've been a lot better if it was just 10 minutes shorter, as a lot of the problem is that things noticibly drag in the later middle section when it's pretty obvious what the problem is, and the plot sort of runs out of material.
