Al Burke, Trent Haaga, Victoria De Mare, and Tai Chan Ngo in Killjoy 3 (2010)

Review by kevin_robbins

Killjoy 3

4/10

Are these good? No. Will they give you a few good chuckles and worthwhile death scenes here and there? Sure.

The entire Killjoy series is available for free on Tubi, and I caught Killjoy 3 last week. The series switches directors to John Lechago, who helmed the final three films. This one transitions from the first two and introduces some side characters for Killjoy to play off in his devious schemes. Some feel like a blend of Wimpy from Popeye and Harley Quinn from Batman, but they all bring a fun element to the mix. Sure, the storyline is weak, but the antics of the characters provide the real entertainment. I actually enjoyed Killjoy 3 and 4 (review to come) more than I expected, thanks to these new additions.

Are these great films? No. But will they give you a few chuckles and some worthwhile death scenes? Definitely. I'd give this a 4/10 and recommend the series to fans of the horror genre.
