Kaori Yamaguchi and Rin Asuka in White Lily (2016)

Review by kosmasp

White Lily

7/10

Obedience to the max

And when I say max ... you better believe it. Now for some it will go to far - no matter what the flashacks will tell us throughout the movie. The movie on the other hand has a lot to say about unhealthy relationships and what toll they take on the individuals concerned.

You may not agree on the amount of sexual situations that occur during the run time, but they are there. And they are also quite loud (your neighbours may be wondering what you are watching - depending on your living arrangements of course). While this may rub some people the wrong way (no pun intended and only meant for sensibilities), it is more than intriguing.

So yes lots of nudity but no vivid or explicit scenes. Apart from a scene where "licking" occurs (on a flower as a symbol for ... well you know what female sexual organ, the most "explicit" this gets is during an oral scene - and I am mentioning these things so you are warned. I didn't expect it to be as sexual to be honest - but it still works as drama/thriller.
