Aaj Ke Angaarey (1988)

Review by nadkarnisumeet

Aaj Ke Angaarey

4/10

Too juvenile even as a kiddie movie.

Aaj Ke Angaarey review :

A B Subhash production; this was supposedly a childrens film which wasnt able to impress me even as a kid. Released in mid 1988, the plot revolved around a group of school kids who are kidnapped enroute from a dance competition. Their teacher, played by Archana Puran Singh, motivates them to become "Aaj Ke Angaarey" and escape captivity.

Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing worked in favour of the film right from Hemant Birje's thankless cameo to Om Shivpuri and Sarla Yeolekar as a Punjabi couple forming a human bridge to rescue the kids and teacher. Even the two hotties Archana and Neeta Puri in skimpy clothes couldnt save Aaj Ke Angaarey from being an unmitigated disaster.

Regards, Sumeet Nadkarni.
