While this title is certainly not so well known and loved like dynasty and dallas were back at the time it was still one of those soaps which got our attention in the early 80s as it run for two seasons from 1980 to 1982. personally I remember watching this show back at the day as a teen and although I don't remember much details as I haven't seen it since then I can still remember that when I watched it I was kind of hooked in it and I watched it from start to finish. problem is.....there is no dvd release yet and I wonder why is this. almost all our beloved soaps are on dvd now. dynasty, dallas, falcon crest, knots landing, peyton place .... even the Australian soap return to eden the 1983 mini series and the 1986 full season sequel are released on dvd numerous times BUT NOT the flamingo road. at least speaking for myself this soap is the only one missing from my dvd collection from those that I need. even the daytime soap bold and the beautiful is on dvd......(of course not the whole series).......and the other Australian mega series THE NEIGHBOURS which lasted for....decades and made a huge impact at the 80s when Jason Donovan and kylie Minogue starred in that series before they became the well known PWL icons. I just hope they will release FLAMINGO ROAD 1980 on dvd soon.
