Trevor Bannister, Alfie Bass, John Inman, and Frank Thornton in Are You Being Served? (1972)

Review by Sleepin_Dragon

Strong Stuff This Insurance

Are You Being Served?

10/10

Features some classic sequences.

Mr Grace has an generous insurance scheme for the staff at Grace Brothers, the amount each gets depends on time left to serve, and a medical.

The team call on the help of a ballet dancer, in the form of Amanda Barrie, who clearly has had some form of dance training considering her moves. Mollie steals that scene in her outfit, but what makes this so funny is the medical scene, from the men undressing to incredibly funny scene where the staff are sat outside Mr Grace's Office and misunderstand what's going on.

The show is getting on a bit now, in its seventh series, and the magic is still there.

The big chest, once used by a lot of soldiers, and there's rising damp in the bottom. Genius.

It's wonderful, 10/10
