Suhana Khan in The Grey Part of Blue (2019)

Review by joshineel-82858

The Grey Part of Blue

10/10

Nicely Made

The short film is very nicely made, there are elements of a relationship that has lost interest in itself over time, we all go through this teenage emotions, the director has taken wonderful shots. Though editing could have been a bit more crisp, there are some long shots which are not necessary. The acting is beautiful to core. Both the male and female actors have acted really well and in the boundary of their characters very beautifully, nothing is over the top. The concept of how love loses interest with time, or maybe we just don't have to do it, or struggle to keep it going. If there is something stressing over us, or if a relationship is a burden, we feel overhung with it. So it is beautiful, but alongside with a deep message as well. And the scene where the male actor has talked about setting up a television set in an open field, is also perceived as to how we have left behind our sight and vision for the beautiful natural things and we are so addicted to materialistic world that we tend to binge into it even when we are meant to celebrate the nature, the love. The over indulging influence of technology has also made us disconnected from our own people. A beautiful subtle message, a straightforward, hard hitting film. Well directed and narrated even more beautifully. The RND for the project seems really good too, had seen the making pictures, the car, the chroma key seems perfect, there is no lag. Coming to music, it is beautifully made, and keeps you hooked to the story as it grows deep with the story itself.
