Burma with Simon Reeve (2018)

Review by muzzafurlong

Burma with Simon Reeve

Simon gives the opinion of one person ONLY

One second he gave for the murder of Myanmar Soldiers, Did we see the family of these soldiers interviewed? The army gives the name of the country " The Union of the Republic of Myanmar". Simon in this documentary spends 90% of his time trying to split this union up. The other 10% we see a fraction of what Myanmar has to offer, you wasted an opportunity of seeing the harmony of the rest of the country. Less was mentioned about what the British promised the locals when they left. Buddhists are good people, even their patience was shot, as far as Aung San Suu Kyi, she is there seeing first hand and is dealing with it the way most of the population wants. You would look good if two thousand of your neighbors crept into England and shot and killed 29 of your Bobbies. The people in the camps are being screwed by the treacherous own people in their own camp, it was not the Soldiers that grabbed her child, kidnap others and bestow horrors on these unfortunates . I know they would not be there if they were not chased out. (Nor should 29 soldiers be killed originally ) Finally, the Army keeps the whole country intact. The struggle of this country is to be wondered, people who whisper (why?) in luxury Toyotas for the camera are not expert on what this country is about.
