Caged Heat II: Stripped of Freedom (1994)

Review by Uriah43

Caged Heat II: Stripped of Freedom

4/10

Covers the Basics of the Women-in-Prison Subgenre

After the king of a banana republic decides to abdicate, his daughter "Princess Marga" (Chanel Akiko Hirai) is captured by revolutionaries and sent to a maximum security prison. This results in the American government sending a female agent by the name of "Amanda" (Jewel Shephard) to the prison to protect her and attempt to facilitate her escape at the appropriate time. What makes things more difficult, however, is that another American woman by the name of "Lucy" (Susan Harvey) is caught up in the action and sent to that same prison. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this film turned out to be a rather standard women-in-Prison (WIP) movie which covers the essential basics and doesn't stray too far off course. As a matter of fact, it's actually quite tame in comparison to some of the other films in this particular sub-genre. That being said, however, although both Chanel Akiko Hirai and Jewel Shephard were both quite attractive, the acting wasn't too good overall and for that reason I have rated it as slightly below average.
