Doraemon: Nobita no shin makai daibôken 'Shichinin no mahô tsukai'

9/10

First review?

Well, I'm glad to be the first person to review this movie! I mean, it's not so much that this movie is obscure. It's that it's a Japanese film never dubbed into English. I simply looked for the version with subtitles. I guess it's hard for Americans to be Doraemon fans, but I do believe it's gotten here eventually. The only other Doraemon movie I saw was the original. For all those complaining about all the "Pokémon" movies, this has even more entries. I guess it's just an anime thing. What was so cool was seeing how much the animation has improved over the decades. I mean, it's obviously made such a leap!

So there's this part at the 95 minute mark where it says "The End", but we know there's more! I think this is in fact the longest Doraemon movie ever made. It certainly seems like an epic film! So, the plot is that Nobita wishes for a world with magic with a "What If" Machine, only to find out he has the same problems but things are worse here because someone made a deal with the Devil causing a planet to fall to Earth. Okay, the plot's not that great, but this was so fun with great action scenes and dialogue! Hardcore anime fans should be able to find this somewhere online. ***1/2
