Nice for the archive footage, which is badly chopped at the cutting stage
This series is nice for the archive footage. Sadly, for drama, the footage is cut into small pieces and mixed with other unrelated footage in a very unpleasant way, somehow to resemble an MTV video from the early 1990s. And it might be about history, but the mixing board personnel seems to be completely ignorant of the context so scenes from the 1970s can be followed by scenes from the 1990s after which come scenes from the 1950s just like that. The viewer might stand a chance to see something relevant with all the violent changes if only the footage would be from the same source. So black and white film can be followed by bad color film and finally realistic film being the closest to the production time. But the sources are anything found, so the black and white film can be newer than the unrealistic color film. And the story is mixed with mad house speech in the background that has no base in real life or history, but only feeds a certain overly dramatic or nationalistic propaganda which was probably deemed more relevant for catching ratings. And probably there is no hidden agenda. Only low qualified reporters making their best to write a catchy narrative with the minimum of effort.
