Star Trek: Invasion (2000)

Review by Terryfan

Star Trek: Invasion

7/10

The Invasion has begun

Sadly this is the only Star Trek video game released on the Original Playstation.

Which is a shame since 2000 was a good year for Star Trek Video Games so we also get introduce to a flight combat game. Star Trek Invasion.

Now the game gets Patrick Stewart to reprise his role as Captain Jean Luc Picard and Michael Dorn as Worf. So that is one plus for this game.

Now onto the game itself, it is set in the Next Generation Film series but you are now able to fly a star ship to battle as this is a space combat game.

Impressive graphics for the PS1 in the CGI cutscenes they did a really good job to make it feel like it's Star Trek plus the game levels have some good art work as you have dangerous dog fights in the game

Now the controls take time to get a hold of you get a training mission to start your game but you have to know the controls as soon as possible since the game keeps you on your toes non stop as you are in a dog fight against many foes

The Sound is very strong with the voice acting being a good selling point and it helps tells the story plus the music is very well done as well so the audio factor is a winner for this game

The Game Play is fun it just would have been better if it didn't give a issue with the enemies being fast and strong plus this is one of those games you just have to sit down and play long enough to get far

Overall if you are fan of Star Trek you'll love this game if you are just looking for a interesting PS1 title give this one a try it not a perfect game but it has something for that Star Trek fan

I give Star Trek: Invasion an 7 out of 10
