Long Distance (2013)

Review by sinnerofcinema

Long Distance

9/10

A Light hearted romantic comedy worth watching

"Long Distance" is not ground breaking. However, it does feature solid performances and engaging story lines. One performance to be noted is that of actor Jeff Allen who lights up the screen every time he appears.

"Long Distance" is about the choices you make if you are willing to keep this type of romantic situation. Relationships between two people in one city are difficult enough to uphold, yet individuals in long distance relationships, for the most part, live in different orbits all of their own. Anyone who has had the misfortune of upholding this type of situation knows that, for the most part, it does not work. Specially in today's fast pace society where everyone is on a tight schedule, the stakes become higher and you are only asking for trouble.

The two leads Breanne (Taylor Cloyes) & Colby (Allen) do a good job keeping you wondering what will become of their relationship as they engage you to probe the plausibility of their reality together. The story and performances alone should keep you hooked and looking forward to other episodes to find out what's in store for the future of these two long distance lovers.

A performance worthy of notice and mention is that of actor Jeff Allen. This actor glows on screen. He is filled with charisma and is very magnetic. He also seems to have a horror film called "MEDUSA" coming out in theatres later this year. Based on his performance in the web series, I can only hope we see more of this very talented leading man headlining many more films and shows. I give "Long Distance" an A for effort.
